WHITE WASHED

I've been transferred to a new area.My new companion is SISTER ALBERTS. She is from So. Missouri. She has been out 3 months and I am her 2nd companion. She is funny and talkative and chill. I have been white washed-meaning there were elders previously in this area and they have been taken out and the sisters put in. We will be serving in the Woodinville 3rd ward. The ward hasn't had sister missionaries in a very long time. They are really excited as am I. The area is pretty dead, however, there is so much potential! The ward hasn't had a lot of success and their hopes were low, but we are going to change that ( with the Lord's help) President Wilson was really inspired to send us to this area. I am grateful for the opportunity and the challenge as well, to build up this area and to find prepared people seeking for truth.
{ During my personal study of the scriptures, I was praying to know what we can do to build up this area. How are we going to have success? As I read 2Nephi 1:9 " Wherefore, I, Lehi, have obtained a promise that inasmuch as those whom the Lord God shall bring out of the land of Jerusalem shall keep his commandments, they shall prosper upon the face of the land;...And if it so be that they shall keep his commandments they shall be blessed upon the face of the land." I likened this to my companion and I. We both have been taken from areas that have been prospering really well...and put into a land that is good but needs a lot of work. I felt that the Lord was telling me what to do in order to prosper in the land ( Woodinville 3rd Ward ) and that I am to keep the commandments, be obedient, work hard and to do all in my power to do what the Lord asks of me. He has asked us to come to Woodinville to help build it up, to strengthen, to uplift, to find people who are searching for truth, and to work with members and to serve them. He will guide us. He will help us and bless us. I know He will. And then I had a moment of" what if I can't" and then I realized I can't but with the Lord's help and if I am doing my part ( I cannot fail) He is with me. I can't do it without him. I should not fear because I know that He keeps His promises if I keep mine.}
