Her(sister Kimball) challenge to us!!!
" I hope you all have ' Preach my Gospel ' in your homes and study from it and use it once in awhile during Family Home Evening. If not that is my challege to you! Its simple, easy, and so helpful. It has strengthened my testimony! I know it will help build your testimony and your families. I think it's great for kids too. It has a lot of activities and it's simple and direct for kids to understand as well."
Lauren would like to share with friends and family some of her experiences and her testimony of Jesus Christ as she serves in the Washington Everett Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter-day Saints.
Don't want to miss the "FAV" mission posts

Read the Scriptures every day !
"We taught Alicia this week and she is planning on being baptized but she hadn't been reading the Book of Mormon because it was hard to read. She didn't see the application to her so when we read with her and helped her to understand how it did apply to her and to all of us. She thought it was the coolest thing. her testimony grew and so did her understanding of the importance of reading the scriptures. IT was really neat to see her get excited. She now desires to read the scriptures on her own. We told her its okay if she didn't understand everything, but as you pray and read a little each day the Lord will help her to understand his words and she will be able to apply the scriptures to her own life. It was a fun lesson! I just love reading from the scriptures with investigators, especially when they are way into it and excited and craving to learn."

WHITE WASHED
{ During my personal study of the scriptures, I was praying to know what we can do to build up this area. How are we going to have success? As I read 2Nephi 1:9 " Wherefore, I, Lehi, have obtained a promise that inasmuch as those whom the Lord God shall bring out of the land of Jerusalem shall keep his commandments, they shall prosper upon the face of the land;...And if it so be that they shall keep his commandments they shall be blessed upon the face of the land." I likened this to my companion and I. We both have been taken from areas that have been prospering really well...and put into a land that is good but needs a lot of work. I felt that the Lord was telling me what to do in order to prosper in the land ( Woodinville 3rd Ward ) and that I am to keep the commandments, be obedient, work hard and to do all in my power to do what the Lord asks of me. He has asked us to come to Woodinville to help build it up, to strengthen, to uplift, to find people who are searching for truth, and to work with members and to serve them. He will guide us. He will help us and bless us. I know He will. And then I had a moment of" what if I can't" and then I realized I can't but with the Lord's help and if I am doing my part ( I cannot fail) He is with me. I can't do it without him. I should not fear because I know that He keeps His promises if I keep mine.}
I just got the call...
Another BAPTISM AND MAKING COVENANTS
I love the work. It truly is the Lord's work! I know the Book of Mormon is true.I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the only true church on the earth! I know that this is the only way we can return to our Heavenly Father presence with our families forever. I love the Gospel. It has brought me the greatest joy I have ever experienced thus far.
YAY ! Balen also got baptized.
That was a wonderful service and then Balen and Wendy were married on Saturday at the Church building and Sister Eaton and I attended.
BAPTISM BAPTISM !!! YAY !!!
Look how beautiful and happy she looks.
{shedding sweet tears of joy }
Yes, JESSICA got baptized on Saturday! On Sunday she was confirmed a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and received the Holy Ghost. The baptism was perfect. All of Jessica's family came and supported her and a couple of her best friends came as well. President and Sister Wilson came to the baptism as well. It was great to see them there.

Oh my goodness, it just keeps getting better and better
...when life as a missionary seemed that it couldn't get any better because it's already near perfect...when you have the faith ...life does get more surprising and miraculous!! I'm just so excited to share this news with you all______GUESS WHAT ? We had a lesson with Jessica and she told us that she wants to get baptized on Aug. 6th !!!! Her original baptismal date was August 20th but she said that it never settled right with her. As she realized that it was so far off and that she felt ready she just felt like she should be baptized sooner. She knows the Gospel of Jesus Christ is true and once she said that once she knows something is true, I must do it. It's a huge miracle my goodness we are so happy!!!!!!! Jessica is getting baptized on Saturday, August 8th. This is so awesome! words cannot describe how I feel, I am jumping up and down!!!!!!!!!!!
