Ben is GOLDEN !
"BEN (16 yrs. old) continues to attend seminary. He has only missed one day in the last 2 weeks and he has come to church for the last 2 Sundays. We talked to him again about teaching him and he is way excited and he loves what he is learning. He already knows the things he has read from the Book of Mormon are true. He's not a big reader but he has been listening to scriptures on his ipod. So cool! He said coming here that he has been learning so much and he said,' I feel like I am growing. This is helping me personally...before in the other church I was in I wasn't learning.' The seminary teacher told us that he is sometimes more involved in seminary than the other member students. His family supports him completely...we have a lesson set up with him this week. We plan to invite him to be baptized on June 4th. We are very excited for him. He's on FIRE! He is so in tune with the spirit and so prepared to hear the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. Such a great young man! HE IS GOLDEN! "
The LORD PROMISES
Let us not be afraid of changing for the best. Let us refine ourselves to become men and women of God. Lets change those small or bigger things in our lives that is preventing us from fully being nearer to God. I know that has been my focus, especially these past few days. I have been removing the things in my life that are preventing me from having His Spirit with me as much. I PROMISE... more importantly THE LORD PROMISES that as we make those changes, greater happiness and a greater direction in our lives will be ours. I know that to be TRUE because I have experienced both sides. This is my personal witness that it is TRUE because I have lived it and continue to live and feel it.
We must ALWAYS remember...
There is a lot of work here that needs to be done and the work will continue. We must always remember even in the darkest times-the Lord will come. He will win! Why not keep pressing forward, keep the faith, and endure. WE KNOW WE WILL BE PROTECTED IF WE ARE ON THE LORD'S SIDE! There is no reason to fear ! The Gospel is full of hope, faith, assurance, blessings and happiness, all conditional according to our obedience. I am so blessed to have gained a great perspective on my mission that we all are sons and daughters of our Heavenly Father, each human being who has come or will come to this earth has previously chosen Heavenly Father's plan of happiness. Doesn't that make it so much easier to share the gospel. It sure helps me.
I know the Book of Mormon is true!
I finally finished reading The Book of Mormon again. It was great to read all through it again, to read and then ponder the words. I know the Book of Mormon is true. I know it is the word of God. It is truly another testament of Jesus Christ. It is another witness that HE LIVES! I know this with every fiber of my body. I am eternally grateful that the Lord has brought forth the Book of Mormon for our day. This book will bring all who read it closer to Christ. It has helped me to better understand the Atonement of Jesus Christ, His resurrection, faith repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost! I know that a young man named Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon with the gift and power of God.
The children today definitely preserved for our day
Last week two littlew girls came to Church with us and this week we went to visit them. They gladly accepted and we taught them. The girls are 9, 8, and 6 years old. They had so many questions and deep questions too! We were amazed that kids of such a young age have all these thought provoking questions. It was fascinating! The children are definitely preserved to come to earth for these last days, no doubts about it! They are so strong with exceedingly great faith and a desire to do what is right. No wonder Christ commands us to become as little children."

GOALS Set 'em high
THIS WEEK WE SET A GOAL TO RECEIVE 6 REFERRALS AND CONTACT THEM ALL. I AM TELLING YOU THAT'S A BIG GOAL AND NOT COMMON AMONG MISSIONARIES. BUT WE PRAYED EACH DAY AND WE DID OUR BEST IN ASKING EVERYONE FOR REFERRALS. LET ME TELL YOU WE WERE BEING HIT WITH REFERRALS LEFT AND RIGHT. IT WAS SO NEAT.
WHEN YOU ASK...YOU SHALL RECEIVE !

A wonderful Easter
I had a wonderful Easter. It was quite different than any other Easter I've ever had but probably one of the best Easter Sundays I'll ever have.
The reason behind this is that we as missionaries get to go out among the people and testify to all God's children that we come in contact with that our Savior lives and that His Gospel has been restored once again to the earth in its fullness. Later in the that day we had a neat experience. We were on our way to visit a less active/ recent convert and as we were walking to his apartment we see a big young man with his arms full with groceries walking with a little child. My companion and I approached them and shared a message about our Savior and the restoration of His Church through Joseph Smith. He accepted and believed our little message and invited us to come back and share more with him. We gave him a Book of Mormon and invited him to read and pray about the things he read. He was a humble young man that seemed to be searching for more in his life. It was a sweet experience.
