I have a new companion
My new companion is from Massachusetts. Her name is Sister Eaton. She has been out nearly as long as I have. So we are having fun and working hard. She is so sweet and kind and so humble. She teaches to the needs of the investigator. I love her and I am excited for this transfer.
So many miracles are happening!!
Keep pressing forward, turn to Heavenly Father in sincere prayer. He'll never forsake us!
another cool miracle...
Last night at 8:20 pm just before we were suppose to be in our apartment. We felt prompted to go visit a member in a shady part of town and I wasn't sure why we were going so late but we went anyway. As we were approaching the apartments we noticed that there was a lady standing outside in the rain with her dog so we went up and talked to her. We talked to her about Christ, finding peace and comfort and direction for her family through God's word, The Book of Mormon. we gave her a copy and read a scripture to her and she then set up an appointment with us. She wants her children to learn about Christ. She hasn't been to a church since she was young. The whole time she stayed out in the rain talking to us.
Miracles happen, blessings happen, tender mercies of the Lord happen after we do all we can and are obedient to His commandments. He is so merciful and loving and ready and willing to bless us, heal us,comfort us, and answer us.
We just must go and do.

THOSE THAT ARE PREPARED...
A recent convert referred us to his cousin, Merhawi, he is from Africa and has been in the U.S. for only 2 months. He speaks a little English so communication is a bit difficult but he can feel the spirit. He biked to the lesson because he has no other way to get there. He also came to the baptism of Eleanor. Oh, it gets better! Sunday he was suppose to get a ride to Church from his cousin but his cousin got sick so he didn't have a ride. He tried calling us but we were in a meeting and when we finally got the message, we were able to get a member to drive us and pick him up. As we were driving to get him we saw someone biking that looked like Merhawi, so we turned around and sure enough it was him. HE WAS BIKING TO CHURCH !!! We put the bike in the member's car and gave him a ride the rest of the way. He is so awesome and so prepared.
BAPTISM BAPTISM!!
This week Eleanor got baptized on Friday and confirmed a member and received the Holy Ghost on Sunday. The baptism was remarkable and the Spirit was so strong. The ward really came out to support Eleanor's baptism. Almost all the young women were there supporting her on a FRIDAY NIGHT ! How cool is that ? We have an awesome ward that is very unified and willing to help each other. Eleanor bore her testimony and she thanked everyone for coming and then she broke down and started to cry as she expressed her feelings that she knows the Church is true and that this is where she is suppose to be. After the service I asked her how she felt and she said," I feel good and happy" She looked happy and radiant!
It's the WAY! PRAYER
I have been studying the importance of family prayer, personal prayer, and companion prayer. I learned that prayer is the way we gain our strength and answers. It's the way we see miracles, people's hearts softened, people come unto Christ, they know the truth of the restored gospel, they find direction. IT'S THE WAY! And once we pray we MUST GO and DO!
Prayer is essential.
Prayer is essential.

Things are pretty good in LAKE FOREST PARK
The weather has been really nice the last couple of days. We actually had some sunshine! Everyone is outside and in great moods,it's wonderful, especially for missionary work. It's amazing how much weather can affect our mood!!! God loves us and HE DOES NOT FAIL US! I have seen that throughout my life and my mission, more abundantly as a missionary. I love my Savior and my God. In our darkest abyss God is there. He does not leave us! He loves us and He will bless us.
I wish I could say missionary work is all about joy.
" Oh how grateful I am to experience the hardships and trials so that I can experience the JOY!! Heavenly Father wants us to be happy it is part of His plan, but He knew and we knew that we can't experience true happiness until we go through trials. Trials draw us to Him and our Savior,Jesus Christ. Without trials and challenges would we be better people ? I know I wouldn't be. I wouldn't be humbled. I wouldn't drop to my knees as often as I do, pleading with all my heart and soul for Help, asking my Heavenly Father for His divine help and seeking for the guidance of His Spirit.I am weak but I know that my Savior makes up the rest when I do my very best. It is very humbling to do His work, to be a missionary. Oh what a priviledge and a joy to be on His side.
